Ghirardelli
The Chocolate Company is one of the most traditional chocolate companies in the United States and part of America’s chocolate heritage. During the Gold Rush in the mid-1800s, founder Domenico Ghirardelli shrewdly discovered that the exhausted miners were hungry for treats and needed something to spend their gold dust on. Since its historic beginnings in 1852, Domenico Ghirardelli was dedicated to creating premium chocolate with highest quality.
Today, the historic chocolate factory at Ghirardelli Square is one of San Francisco’s landmarks. With its creativity and passion for quality, Ghirardelli proved to be a perfect fit for Lindt & Sprüngli and was therefore acquired in 1998. The most famous products in the brand portfolio of Ghirardelli are the popular Squares which were developed in 1999. Meanwhile available in numerous varieties, the fine chocolate Squares with their liquid core cater to almost every taste of discerning consumers. - An American classic since 1923. The story began in in Denver, Colorado, when Russell and Clara Stover started a candy business at their home. Shortly after, they began manufacturing high quality pralines – the ideal chocolate gift for special occasions. In 1993, Russell Stover acquired Whitman’s, one of the oldest chocolate brands in the US, founded in 1842. Over the years, Russell Stover became one of America’s most famous brands for chocolate and continued producing pralines and other chocolate treats, still based on the original recipes of the founders.
Russell Stover offers a unique assortment – from the popular Bow Line Pralines, the Valentine Heart Boxes, the legendary Whitman’s Sampler Boxes to the Pangburn’s Millionaires and their successful sugar-free products. Caffarel
- Italy’s unique tradition and innovation in the world of premium chocolate. Caffarel is an Italian brand known for its mastery of traditional chocolate craftsmanship and has been part of the Lindt & Sprüngli Group since 1998.
Paul Caffarel’s expertise and careful selection of high-quality ingredients created an intense and velvety soft chocolate delicacy which did not exist before – the Gianduiotto. He created one of the most memorable Italian specialties by carefully mixing and blending cocoa powder, sugar and Piedmontese hazelnuts, known for their fine, distinctive flavor. Hofbauer
Hofbauer’s story began with the opening of a confectionary shop in Vienna in 1882 by Carl Hofbauer which soon became well-known for its delicate chocolate creations. Until today, stands for high-quality confectionary pralines such as the Mozart truffles and carefully selected ingredients with a unique Viennese charm.
Küfferle
Since 1865, has delighted Austria with chocolate creations such as the famous Katzenzungen (cat’s tongue) invented in 1892 as well as the Schokoschirmchen (chocolate umbrellas), invented in 1950. Until today, Küfferle’s chocolate creations are true icons and bring joy to the entire family. Since 1972, Küfferle has been part of Hofbauer.
