The Lindt Gold Bunny – a true Easter icon
Wrapped in gold foil and with a bell on a red ribbon around its neck, the Gold Bunny has become an icon and integral part of Easter. Today, more than 140 million Gold Bunny are produced annually and are available in a wide variety of flavors and formats.
The saga of the Lindt Gold Bunny creation
The first Lindt Gold Bunny saw the light of day in 1952. The story goes that one bright spring morning in March, the young daughter of a Lindt Master Chocolatier spotted a little bunny in her garden. She was utterly mesmerized and excitedly asked if she could go outside to play with the little animal. Her father agreed, but as she ran to the door, the bunny promptly vanished into the bushes with a flash of its fluffy tail. For days, the little girl was heartbroken by the bunny’s disappearance. Deeply touched by how upset his daughter was, the father came up with a brilliant idea. He decided to craft a bunny out of the finest milk chocolate, wrapped it in gold paper, and hung a little golden bell on a red ribbon around its neck so that his daughter would always be able to find it. The Lindt Gold Bunny was born.

Different sizes and flavors to suit every taste
The Lindt Gold Bunny charms young and old alike. After all, it is one of the most delicate and iconic gifts to your loved ones at Easter. To satisfy every taste, the Gold Bunny is available in milk, dark (60% and 70%) and white chocolate, as well as hazelnut, strawberry, and salted caramel. The color of the ribbon always identifies the flavor.
The popular Gold Bunny is available in six different sizes: 10 g, 50 g, 100 g, 200 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Each 1 kg Gold Bunny is lovingly hand-wrapped and manually polished with a soft glove to ensure that each Bunny's golden coat shines.
It takes about an hour to create a Lindt Gold Bunny from start to finish, with the final touch being the addition of the hand-placed ribbon, which has a little bell attached to it.

Special editions
The Lindt Gold Bunny is globally unique. Since its beginnings in 1952, the Gold Bunny has gracefully maintained its look and has always remained true to its original elegant style. However, a limited number of special editions of the Gold Bunny have also been created – for example with animal print, flowers or as a lucky charm.
